高校1年のJoey君から手紙が来た。フィリピンでは６・４・４制で高校1年生は日本の中学1年生です。
小学校と違いその上の上級学校は家から離れており、交通機関（乗り合いミニバス）等を使って登校するのですが、1日往復で日本円で約130円かかります。それが日本から中古の自転車を譲り受けたので、1ヶ月約2,600円セーブできるようになり、更に自転車を毎日漕ぐため、健康になったとのことです。

Hi, I am Joey Malabanan, a freshman student at Calatagan National High School (Calatagan, Batangas). My parents and I would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to the Wind of Asia for granting me with bicycle which I am now using in going to school. Before, my transportation to and from the school was Php70.00 a day. With this bike, my parents are able to save Php 1,400.00 a month, which can now be used to fund other family necessities.
Apart from saving money, I can feel I am getting healthy as biking is a very good exercise.
I wish and pray that your organization, the Wind of Asia, can donate additional bikes so that more students in the public schools and their families will be benefitted.
